According to reports in Turkey, and cited by the Daily Mirror, Fenerbahce are keen on the 30-year-old and are making a plan to land him on loan this summer.

Fanatik reports that Fenerbahce are looking to pay £8m towards Ozil’s £13.5m-a-season wages with Arsenal stumping up the remaining £5.5m.

Ozil “appears keen” to stay at the Emirates, but as he was a boyhood Fenerbahce fan the Turkish club are confident a loan deal can be done.

Bids for Bakayoko

Manchester United have contacted Chelsea about the possibility of signing Tiemoue Bakayoko, while Arsenal “are also keeping tabs” on the French international defender. United are eyeing Bakayoko as a replacement for Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic, both of whom are expected to leave Old Trafford in the coming weeks. Arsenal boss Unai Emery also “thinks highly” of the playmaker, who is back at Stamford Bridge after spending last season on loan with AC Milan. (Daily Express)

Rodriguez sale will fund Real’s Pogba bid

Saliba a done deal?

Arsenal are “confident” of completing the signing of William Saliba, with reports claiming that the deal is “essentially complete”. The Gunners and Saint-Etienne have all but shaken hands on the £25m transfer, after the north London outfit agreed to the French club’s demand that 18-year-old Saliba be loaned straight back to them for the new season. The centre-back has agreed personal terms with Arsenal and all that remains is for the transfer bonuses to be sorted out before the move is officially confirmed. (Metro/Daily Star

Cancelo can go

Juventus have “agreed to sell” Joao Cancelo and Manchester City are in pole position to land the full-back. The 25-year-old caught the eye last season in helping Juve win another Serie A title, and City boss Pep Guardiola is believed to want to bring Cancelo to the Etihad to strengthen his back-four. That will be OK by new Juve head coach Maurizio Sarri, who apparently is ready to offload the defender in order to boost his transfer kitty. (Daily Mirror

Patience is key in Sessegnon move

Klopp wants Origi to stay

Toffees eye Malcom

Everton are preparing to make a £35m bid for Barcelona forward Malcom. The Brazilian, 23, is also a target for Arsenal. (RMC Sport)

Tielemans is a Fox

Leicester have completed the club-record signing of Youri Tielemans from Monaco, a deal that takes the Foxes’ summer spending spree to nearly £80m. It’s believed that the 22-year-old has penned a four-year deal “with the fee believed to be about £40m”. Man Utd were linked with Tielemans last year but the Belgium international - who spent the second half of last season on loan at the King Power Stadium - has decided to make his stay permanent. “It is such a great feeling to sign for this club,” he said. “I believe that we have the talent in our squad to achieve something special and for any player, that’s an exciting thing to be a part of.” (The Guardian)
